Joking that tree lighting is an adventurous part of his job because it is unpredictable, Gov. Mario Cuomo on Sunday - successfully - threw the switch that lit the official state Christmas trees.
"You never know when you hit this switch if it's going to work," Cuomo told hundreds of Albany residents who stood in biting cold at the Empire State Plaza to watch the governor take part in the annual tradition.
